Re: Part numbers for ALL hoses on 2004 316cdi.

The copy Invoice below contains( apart from other Service items) all the part numbers for the 316 Cdi ( OM 612 engine) coolant hoses ( with Eberspacher for the engine coolant) and the intercooler hoses ( except the flexible hose to the air filter). The list may be of use to someone, like me, who dec...

Re: Unteres Bett nutzen

As my wife is often awake for long periods of the night we sleep in the Cook with me in the top bed and Catherine on the downstairs bed. She has a thin memory foam topper enclosed in a zipped sheet. It rolls up in the morning and goes with her duvet and pillows behind the bench seat. It is v comfort...

Thanks.I’ve tried that but can’t get into the site - as you say the server is having issues. Also tried other online parts catalogues but still left tearing my hair out as to which are the correct hoses from multiple parts diagrams!

Part numbers for ALL hoses on 2004 316cdi.

Greetings from the U.K. I want to change all the coolant, heating and turbo hoses on my Cook - as a precaution now that it is 20 years old. However I can’t locate all the part numbers admit is driving me to drink. My MB dealer has suggested about 6 hoses to change but there are lots more than that-a...

Re: How to remove this sliding door base? URGENT

Thank you. I have previously removed the plugs and screws on the passenger door step in order to check for rust underneath. It hadn’t occurred time that a similar system might be used for the sliding door step. Does the B pillar trim have to be removed as well ? Or is it a case of removing the metal...

How to remove this sliding door base? URGENT

The Cook is at the body shop for some rustproofing. How is the step in the photo below removed? The body shop can’t fight out and its holdup the work. Thanks.

Re: Paint code needed

Thanks for the link. I’m a little confused from that as to whether I need POLYTOP Argentite Gray (MB7354) or MB 7351. The paint is for the lower part of the body including cills - not the bumpers. So it needs to have some shine to it. So is MB7354 the appropriate one? Thanks

Paint code needed

Greetings from the U.K. I have 2004 Cook in Alaska White . I am having some repainting of the cills and lower half done at the same time as having the underside treated with Lanoguard. Does anyone know the paint code for the grey colour on the lower parts and cills ? Thanks

Re: Preventative maintenance on 316cdi auto

As well as any other suggestions I wonder whether anyone knows of a source of good aftermarket hoses. A number of the 316cdi hoses are no longer available from MB and I suspect Germany may be a better source of aftermarket hoses than the U.K. The difficulty in sourcing the hoses is another good reas...

Re: Preventative maintenance on 316cdi auto

Thank you all for these suggestions. The difficulty with preventative changing of parts of course is that it will be the one that you don’t change that then causes a breakdown! . My thinking about the coolant and turbo hoses / water pump is that it if these fail whilst travelling at speed then that ...

Re: Batteriespannung blinkt auf 15,1V

This has happened to me too on a trip this summer. My suspicions were the same as Klassic James( I too have Lifepo with BMS) because when I started the engine the voltage settled down to normal. I also wondered if the shunt had an intermittent fault so I changed the Shunt as well. This all happened ...
