Looking for an oldtimer JC

Beitrag von brytermad » 08.11.2018 19:11

Hi there

I'm French living in Paris city. I'd like to travel around the world with my old mum in a van.
I'm looking for an old JC very cheap to refurbish. Max budget 2000€.

If any of view come accross or sell a dirty one I'm your man [emoji3]

Regards

M

I'm not sure if it's good to buy a car like this to drive: https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anz ... 2-220-6838

Thanks for the reply.

I saw it few days back.
I forgot to say that I'm interested in the side door version with the 2 small seats next to it, the side sofa and the kitchen in the rear.
Somthing like https://www.myvan.com/history-of-vans-e ... westfalia/
I would remove the 2 seats and keep the sofa.... ideally I mean :)

Do you think an old van is not reliable ? I could extend my budget a little bit more tho.

I think the cheapest James Cook Vans are these without a sliding door.

The engine of our cars is very reliable, but the rost will cost you much time if you are good at welding. If not, forget it, you will pay thousands of euros for the body shop.
