Help with making bench seat slide easily

Greetings from the U.K. On every trip we make up both beds at night because my wife is insomniac and therefore sleeps mostly on lower bed. Works very well except that I find sliding the lower bench seat backwards and forwards very hard and heavy. We do not keep heavy stuff in the seat base.
I have sprayed runners with silicone and that helps for a while but then soon gets heavy again. So two questions. 1. Is it possible to adjust the plastic feet on the seat without removing and dismantling the seat? 2. More generally any suggestions much appreciated. Adrian

Thanks for these comments. It sounds as if this may be a common problem. It looks as if I will have to remove the seat and dismantle the grey plastic surround in order to get at all 6 bolts for each foot for the slide. Then fiddle around with each foot until I stop any binding. I guess that if the feet are working properly then the seat should slide wit little effort. Is that correct? Thanks. Adrian ?

I believe everything is accessible without touching the gray plastic surround.

From the links above, some fiddling is done from inside the seat without removing the seat.

Other fiddling may require the seat to be removed.

The tricky part is that you may end up accidentally repositioning or tilting the feet when putting the seat back into the slider rails.

The seat is very heavy. So even when everything is ideal, it still probably takes effort to slide the seat.

I'd try fiddling with the feet from inside the bench seat per the links above. Then, if that doesn't work, with a helper, remove the seat and reposition the feet.
