Bug screen material

We have bought our James Cook to ship back to Canada in July. One issue that is a problem is that the panoramic roof bug screen is not there. We are getting the screen fixed before we leave Germany but want to buy the same material as was originally in the James Cook.

Does anyone have any idea where we could buy this bug screen material from?

Attached are a couple fo images of the dining bug screen which is fine.

do you need the full mechanism or the net only ?
You find net only very silmilar in any d.i.y. shop

Net only I believe. We did buy some from the OBI store, but they do not have any grey colour.

Any idea where to get the same material as is in there now?

Hi Wolf,

I asked Manfred in Munster and as far as I know they cannot get the original bug screen material anymore. On another topic, Westfalia referred me to Manfred.

Our time is now very short before we have to put the James Cook on a ship and for us to return to Canada.

I know Manfred Ermel personally, a good man, always served us well regarding repairs or upgrades.

I am sorry that I can not directly answer your question as I am obviously riding another model than you.

My thought process would be to understand who is the supplier of the window and/or - if implemented apart from the window - the supplier of "panoramic roof bug screen". Who made the window? Dometic? May be call them as an industry leader and they might point you in some direction?

If I search the internet for "flyscreen grey" multiple results are displayed, sold by the meter. May be you investigate the offer (pattern of the net, material, softness,...)

We are running short of time in Europe as we are going to Manfred's place on Thursday to have the blinds and bug screens adjusted / fixed.
