Access to hot water tank

Beitrag von lunatic » 22.08.2023 14:08

I want to check out the status of the hot water tank. Seems to be working fine, but want to see if any pipe corrosion etc.

I believe older models have screws in the 4 corners of the panel under the sink. Mine does not (see images). Does anyone have any idea how this is attached? Is it the green clips or something else. Bottom left corner is easy to get loose, but it does not want to open from there.

Any help or advice would as always be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ian

The original attachment of the panel under the bathroomsink is just clips and Velcro. Any screws are probably later adjustments.

I have 2 Green Clips on the right side, Rest ist velcro I recently renewed. I also have screws but those were added later and are not lasting anymore...

Thanks for the advice! Once I knew what was there, Rainerd's advice of "Just pull" worked fine.

Pleasantly surprised by what I found behind the partition. Image attached.

The bathroom heater does have a small amount of green on a couple of pipes, but definitely no leaking (other images). I wiped it clean and will monitor.

All back together. Learning something every day.

The green is probably from removing air in the system as is directly at the valve....
