Fresh water tank drain lever

Greetings from the UK. The red handle that fits on the drain valve for the fresh water tank is getting worn. So it is getting more difficult to open and close the drain valve. Can someone tell me where to get a replacement lever or alternatively a modification to avoid putting the lever on and off the valve? Thanks. Adrian

Thomas, I mean like the red lever in the amazon link. To fit underneath the Cook on the drain pipe (next to the heater exhaust pipe end) from the cold water tank. Does the Amazon one fit the Cook - is it the right size? Kind Regards Adrian

Hi Adrian,

the amazon link should be an example, it's too big, you need one in 3/4 inch.

But if you only need the handle you can go to the next plumbers workshop, i think there you can get one for a tip.

Thanks Thomas. Is that 3/4 ins bsp? The trouble with a replacement handle is that there seem to be so many different ones. A better system would be to have a drain valve with handle permanently attached I think. Adrian

I'm not sure if 3/4 ins bsp is the right designation, in German it is "3/4 Zoll".


The best way for renewing the valve is to disassemble it, take it to a DIY store and look for the right replacement parts.
