Hello!
I have a 1999 James Cook, which I believe has the darker white color (Alaskaweiss 9215, Motip 45900). However, I've not been able to find the color code for the bottom area of the van (gray). Does anyone know this?
Thank you!

Re: Cabin blower fan does not work
I got it working again. I removed the motor by unscrewing the 3 philips screws, then connected it directly to the battery, and it worked. I measured voltage at the plug coming from inside the car and the 12V were there. There was some corrosion on the plug, so I guess that's what was causing the pro...

Cabin blower fan does not work
I have a '99 James Cook and the cabin blower fan has just stopped working. It does not work in any position (1-4), so it's not the resistor. I've checked the fuses under the steering wheel and they're all OK. Any tips on what it could be and how to test it? I have a multimeter if it helps. Thanks!

Re: Fresh water tank level indicator
Amazing information E2nO, thanks a lot!
The crucial missing piece of the puzzle are the latching reed switches, it won't work with normal reed switches. I'll buy those and try again, as spending over €130 on a new sensor that I can make for around €15 is a last resort.
Thanks everyone!

Re: Fresh water tank level indicator
Wait, are you saying that the reed switches should be latching or bi-stable reed switches?? That actually makes sense and is the only way this works properly.

Re: Fresh water tank level indicator
Thank you for that diagram, but my question still remains. There's plenty of space between reed switches 2 and 3, for example. If the magnet is between those 2 positions, it will not activate neither reed switch 2 nor 3, so the water level indicated on the display will be wrong ("empty" instead of 1...

Battery charge indicator can't properly measure the alternator current
I have a 1999 JC. I have installed a battery charge indicator that has a shunt measuring the current going into or out of the back batteries. While it works fine when discharging the battery or charging it via the solar panels, when the car is running it shows current going in, but it fluctuates lik...

Fresh water tank level indicator
Hello, The fresh water tank level indicator in my 99 JC is not working. I have found a diagram of the electronics inside (kindly posted by a member of this forum): https://i.imgur.com/joePsNp.jpg And I have rebuilt it using new resistors and reed switches: https://i.imgur.com/dWgjjHJ.jpg Everything ...

Danke Epeg!
Is there any thread on this forum (ideally with pictures) that shows how to remove the shower base? It would be great to see what's under it and try to stabilize it better.

Shower base flexes too much with a person's weight
As the title says, my shower base flexes a little bit too much on the corner under the sink, which means the silicone that's sealing the corner doesn't stick well to the wall. I was wondering if it's possible to access the area under the shower base in order to try to stabilize it. It looks like the...
