Re: Overhead computer
Another image that may help attached. Are you supposed to release these 2 plastic clips and slide the inside unit forward?

Re: Overhead computer
Update on overhead display. We are going to replace the overhead display, once we check for loose wiring etc. Couple of images attached. We have removed the dome light and see the case the display is in. How do we get the display out of the case so that it will pull forward to inspect wiring etc.? I...

Re: Removal of light unit over dashboard
Thank you, I appreciate it.
However, my light fitting is an older model than the one in the document. In the attached images, it is quite different.
If you have any idea how to remove the older version that would be great.
Ian

I am looking to replace the central control until display and need to remove the overhead front light unit to get access to the display.
Can anyone help me as to how I remove the light unit? 3 images of the light unit attached.

OK, thanks.
If anyone else would like to let me know their approximate oil consumption, that would be great!
Just checking to see if mine is out of line.

Oil Consumption 2008 3 litre V6 engine type 642
Our 2008 JC is a 3 litre V6 turbo with 120,000 kms on the odometer. It looks to me that we are using about 1 litre of oil per 5,000 kms. Does this seem excessive or normal? I see that the Mercedes manual states it may even be as high as 1 litre per 1,000 kms!! Any insight would be appreciated. Thank...

Re: Refresh Ladegerät, Batterien und evtl. Solar
I am about to upgrade to Lithium. I have the Victron smart charger and the solar MPPT Victron in place. I have also been told I need to change the old Westfalia relay under the driver seat to a 12v battery to battery charger. As a result, I purchased the Victron Orion TS 50amp 12v to 12v charger. Wh...

Re: 2008 JC - bathroom tap leaking
Thanks for passing that along. My JC is a 2008, so has the later version bathroom. I am not sure if the bathroom taps are the same. Best solution would be to just replace the cartridge and leave the tap in place. Does anyone know if that is possible on a 2008? Attached is an image of the bathroom sh...

2008 JC - bathroom tap leaking
Our bathroom tap has started leaking slightly. See attached short video. The water is dripping under the sink, down the hot and cold pipes and into the big black plastic receptacle. Not a lot, but it is a "MUST FIX" item. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this, tighten it, or do I need a new ...

Re: Overhead computer
This makes sense, thanks. First job as I mentioned is to change the JC leisure batteries. We are installing lithium. Once they are fully charged we will see if the control panel stays on. Last summer, we used an inverter with the old AGM batteries, which dropped the voltage significantly. Maybe that...

Re Sleep Mode. Thanks for all the information. It is possible that it did go into sleep mode, but when I press the big button everything comes back as it was before - fridge on etc. etc. Once out of storage, I think the first thing I will do is replace the batteries as they are old anyway. Then I wi...
