Re: Ersatzteile aus dem 3D Drucker

Just an idea. The hinged on bottom door for the table top (above front seats) might support some weight in the closed position with 3D printed brackets. The brackets would slide and hook over the door when opened. When the hinged door is closed, the brackets cannot be removed. The brackets would loo...

Re: Ersatzteile aus dem 3D Drucker

A USA owner designed a bathroom door catch holder to keep bathroom door open a few inches (not closed, not opened all the way). This might be an idea for a 3D printer.

Just an idea. The shampoo bottles in the bathroom sometimes fall out of the wall shelf on bumpy roads as the existing rail is only 3 inches tall. I put a tall piece of 7 inches tall plastic or cardboard in front of the shampoo bottles so they don't fall out. The plastic or cardboard is wedged in pla...

From your other thread https://forum.james-cook-freunde.de/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7805 It looks like you got a new replacement D4. As posters on that thread said, the ECU electronic control unit in the original D4S is Westfalia specific to communicate with the central computer console above the windsh...

The sliding door half slider window is a different size than the half slider window behind the driver (and different weatherstrip molding seal). Also, want opening part of window to be at the rear of sliding door (away from lock) and for wind. Try these Mercedes part numbers: Behind Driver Awning Wi...

Marc:

OneManVan and Grozier in the USA took a freestanding fan and modified it to stick in the bathroom vent. The thread might be helpful:

Re: Separate control of heater fan without heating

When camping, there are a bunch of air inlets: Top of dashboard radio are two fresh air intake vents. Leave open. Use the Weathertech front door wind deflectors in a darker shade. Then when windows are cracked, the air deflectors conceal the openings. Made in Germany. https://www.weathertech.com/dod...

Re: Separate control of heater fan without heating

1. Thomas is right. Air for heater comes from inside the van. (The air intake is right below.the air outflow vent behind the driver seat. You can't see it as it's behind the gray plastic panel.) The combustion chamber has its own tiny little air hose. 2. Concern is bringing exhaust into Westy when e...

Thanks for the write-up. After you use for awhile, please keep us updated. Ventilation flow. Etc. (One negative of the Fantastic Vent is the hassle of cleaning the fan blades; newer Fantastic Vent versions have a removable fan blade from the interior for easier cleaning). Use as a clothes dryer (the...

1. Did heater work continuously on the bench (outside of Westfalia)? Anyway for service center to run heater on a bench? That way, you could narrow down problem to something on James Cook? (Air, Fuel, Temperature Sensor, Fuel lines, Fuel pump (proper angled position), etc.). Note that there are diff...

1. For newer T1N Sprinters, here is a link to various parts catalogs, etc. If you find a part number for a newer T1N, can see if the same part pops up for the 1995 Sprinter. http://diysprinter.co.uk/reference/ 2. Are there junkyards with old Sprinters? Could perhaps buy a window (may need new weathe...

In the USA, the screws for the fresh water tank fill (locking cap) went through the black plastic cover. Cracks would originate from the screwholes and then spread. Replacement (and later) black plastic covers had a bigger circle hole so the fresh water tank screws did not go through the black plast...

1. Done--Easiest. Splice into bathroom light fixture. The wires are right there for easy access to fan. The bathroom light has its own switch as well as the outside the door switch. 2. Hypothetical--Parallel splice before the outside door switch wiring, and then run wires alongside the wires from sw...
