Hi friends,

Most of the time, I don't drive on the french toll highways.
All the time I drive with my surfboxtrailer ( < 750kg ).
because JC is higher than 3m and because the presence of the trailer , the legal class is 4 ( same as 40 tons lorries ! ).
Each time I call the operator, they dowsize to class 2.

But, recently, I drove on the viaduc de Millau and the operator rejected my request; finally I paid class4 = 47€ !!!

Be aware of that at this location.


PS : at the wayback, I remember me the past and drove to the city of Millau; not any jam, simply the valley to cross up and down; 5..10 minutes longer no more and a spare of 47€

they are all cutthroats. Geneve a Spanien 130 Euro.

In Frankreich gibt man mehr Geld für die Maut als für den Diesel aus.

Daher nehme ich mir gern etwas mehr Zeit und benutze mautfreie Nebenstraßen was unter 3,5t gut geht.

Aber eine Fahrt über das Viaduc de Millau möchte ich auch einmal machen.

and I suggest you drive once over the viaduc and a second time, in the valley, under the viaduc. Both views are instructive. + a stop at the "aire du viaduc" to watch the movie about the construction.

Diese viadukt habe ich schon vor 30 Jahren mit Camper gemacht. Zum Glück kann ich von Genf aus bis Spanien Fahren ohne Tanken da der Diesel dort im Moment sauteuer ist und nicht sauber. In Spanien habe ich vor 4 Wochen 1.32 Bezahlt.
