Hello!
I recently acquired a 1985 James Cook camper with a 309D engine in it and am needing a little help. I live in Canada and have discovered that these are exceedingly rare here and that nobody knows much if anything about them. The other day I was using it and the e-brake on the passenger rear snapped. I am slowly learning that though these campers are hard to come by, they have interchangeable parts with Mercedes transport vans.

Ultimately I am trying to figure out how to find a brake cable for the van at present and to learn what transport van model aligns with my camper so as to make parts searches easier in the future.

Ersatzteile findest du direkt bei Mercedes -Benz. Ob es Niederlassungen in Canada gibt, weiß ich nicht.
Du kannst die benötigten Teile bei https://mb-teilekatalog.info/ suchen, und mit der Teilenummer auch online suchen .
Ob https://www.online-teile.com/mercedes-ersatzteile/ auch nach Canada liefert, musst du dort erfragen.

In USA wurde der Wagen auch verkaufte vielleicht findest du dort was du suchst, könnte aber auch sein das es nur das nachfolge Modell „Sprinter“ war.
Es gibt in den USA auch eine James-Cook Community. Unser Webmaster hat sehr gute Verbindungen dort hin vielleicht meldet es sich noch dazu.
