Bye Bye Yahoo Group, Hello Global World

Beitrag von Westy512 » 23.09.2013 20:03

I am taking the plunge and starting to utilize this forum. Looking forward to learning lots of new stuff from our German brothers and sisters.
I am noticing that although I have the translate set to English, there is much of the forum navigation instructions that remain in Deutsch, so i am keeping another browser session open w/ google translate that I can copy/paste into. This will help till I am familiar with the forum.

Hallo to my new German friends.

David

Looks like the translation has spread now throughout the entire page, so good work!

Hello all,

I just want to give greetings to all the NAFTA JC refugees.

So much for the Yahoo! James Cook forum face lift in the reign of the not-so-new chief.

Alas, only if the forum's functionality is as photogenic as the chief.

Thanks Peter for the wonderful forum here. Only if Google would improve the German to English translation more. German is one of the more difficult language to translate, which I gather due to the grammatical construct that is quite different from English.

Hello Peter,

You must be getting ready for your trip to the U.S.. Do you have identified any mechanics to service your Sprinter while in the U.S.? If not, several of us NAFTA Cook owners can provide you with options around the country but especially "Dr. A" (Andy Bittenbinder) in Pittsburgh PA is a Mercedes trained German Sprinter mechanic and may be the best in the U.S. There are also some special events that may interest you such as the Oshkosh Air show which is either the biggest or second biggest air show in the world and is held each summer in Oshkosh Wisconsin. http://www.airventure.org/
Look forward to meeting you at Westyfest in New York over Labor Day weekend (29 August-1 September)

Bob, (Woody Westy)
