Bathroom sealant

Beitrag von RichardThe3rd » 25.01.2016 10:53

Hello.

The sealant in my bathroom is coming away from around my WC toilet. Is it best to remove the old sealant and use a normal bathroom sealant, or do I need a stronger Glue/sealant such as sikaflex 252 ?

Thanks for any advice

Hello RichardThe3d,
standard bathroom silicone would not hold long. I solved it like this: all old joint seals cut and choose a silicone for acrylic. This holds even after many years!

I used Mapesil AC 100% silicone in their silver grey colour a couple of weeks ago on our 95JC - it is a little greyer than the original but matches well, if anything can with the pink! So far so good we'll see how long it holds for.
