Today we stopped at a free truck weight and checked ours (the JC

Total 3500 kg
Right on the maximum weight! We were two people, full diesel, full fresh water, 50% grey water, one full toilet cassette, snow chains, tools, fridge filled with food but not much beer or wine. Two full gas bottles. Only summer clothes and no bikes. We also had our camping table set plus two chairs.
I was a bit surprised though how heavy loaded we actually were considering we only had summer gear and no bikes. Grey water and the toilette cassette should be around 70 kg so this gives us some margin for heavier gear (bikes/tents/skis etc).
