does this show battery "health"? (are mine Dead?)

Beitrag von pjstock » 25.03.2025 23:00

My last question for today.

I am tinkering with electrics in my JC

One possible project is to replace the two Gel Leisure (Auxiliary) batteries.
IF they are bad or too run down.

does the Zentral Elektronik tell me that?
the english translation of the manual is not very clear. It translates as
9. Display of the capacity of the additional batteries
The available battery capacity is displayed in 10% increments...."

the gauge on the bottom of my screen shows basically Zero (or 10%)
does that basically mean that my batteries are dead and need to be replaced?

yes that is a much clearer translation.

though I ran my refrigerator for a while (15 minutes) yesterday but the display is not change.

maybe that is because the weather is still so cold (0C) that the refrigerator did not really turn on very much,
but I pushed the set point to -1C and I did hear the compressor run.

attached is a photo of the display after 15 minutes

I stand by my opinion that this two bars are displayed when your battery is fully charged. If you leave your fridge on overnight you will see that the bars will appear as the fridge would drain batteries a bit.
