the Last Frontier (hot water)

Not a plea for advice and help finally.

Just a good news report from this novice James Cook owner.

Having found and replaced the side mirror (that got hit by a falling tree)
Having figured out how to remove the bathroom cabinet and sink
Having resolved the leaking faucet question (and then ordered a replacement Reich Kama Julia so we have a shower indoors)
Having figured out how the toilet works (and that it flushes with water in fact)
Having figured out how the water system pump works,
Having figured out all the various water drain points and valves and levers,
Having resolved the failed kuhlbox problem (replacement electronic control module)

I figured it was such a good day that I should either buy a lottery ticket OR.... test the last system in this James Cook that I haven't tried yet.
The Hot Water Heater!!

And Lo! following the instructions (fill the tank, remove the vent cap, open the gas line, turn the knob) miraculously the green light stayed on, there were furnace sounds from the vent area and after a few minutes there was hot water!

(you have to understand that this was not working when I purchased in Belgium in October but after I had departed the seller told me he had had the system cleaned and that it was working. But I had never seen it work)

It's strange that when simple things work it feels like a miracle. (but I guess 20 years on, in a world of highly disposal goods, it really is quite miraculous)

Das ist schön, dass der Boiler funktioniert.
Ich empfinde es immer als ganz besonders luxuriös, warmes Wasser wie zuhause im James zu haben.
