does anyone know what an FF code (on the display) means?

I only get it when in Reverse.

and Reverse works normally.

Does your car use a PDC? means Park Distance Control? Could be a defect sensor unit at the rear bumper.

I don't know about PDC.

I could really use it because this is a tough beast to back up. hard to judge distance

the radio screen looks like it wants to show a backup image when in Reverse but nothing comes in the screen

The PDC sensors are essy to identify as round spots on the rear bumper.

Do the white lamps light up in the rear lights when you engage reverse gear?

yes the white lamps illuminate when I Reverse.

and Yes I have those dots on my rear bumper so I must have PDC.

I will read about how to test the sensors

I had the same error message. First I replaced all the sensors, they're only available in the wrong color in the accessories store, but you can paint them thin. Then I realized that the fault was in the connector of the wiring harness to the vehicle. The connectotbis at the vehicle s driver s side, close to the bumper. I found this out by dismantling the entire bumper, replacing the wiring harness, examining everything and then repacking it with new insulating tape.

The reversing camera normally receives the signal from the reversing lights. Perhaps this is the reason.

Du kannst ganz einfach feststellen ob einer defekt ist. Zündung einschalten, Rückwärtsgang einlegen. Dann hälst du einen Finger auf den Sensor. Wenn du eine leichte Vibration merkst, ist der jeweilige Sensor in Ordnung. Funktioniert keiner der Sensoren, kann der Stecker korriediert sein, oder das Steuergerät ist defekt.

Es ist sehr unwahrscheinlich das alle Sensoren aufeinmal defekt sind.
