what has happened to this window strut?

so..... I got my blind out finally. (and it seems that the manual suggests a spray of lube or oil to loosen up the roller springs. but I'll try that later)

IN the meanwhile I notice that the top of my side window support strut has came apart. (Oddly it seemed to work okay before I took everything apart but I think it was still separated.)

Does anyone how how these two pieces are supposed to fit together, stay together?
since it has to rotated a bit I expect it was some kind of pin. but I don't know what exactly.

hmmmmm when I removed the black piece a silver but fell out.
it looks like one side of a pop rivet.

I expect what has happened is that someone tried to close the window without loosening the grip roller. and they broke the rivet.

what now though?
my rivet gun will not fit inside that black piece.

I guess I either order a replacement strut arm.

OR I drill through t and put a nut and bolt in to hold it together.

any other ideas?

that Left had piece comes apart.

though I am not quite sure how to repair this.
I'm not sure how one of my pop rivets would work it needs about a 2cm shaft to work

maybe a thin bolt and nut...

Resolved.
I used a thin bolt and nut. easy fix. seems solid.
