Outside temperature Sensor - Falling

Hello. I have a 2001 313CDI James Cook.
The dash display outside ambient temperature now shows -3 Deg C, while the outside temperature is actually +10 C. It has been slowly falling over the last several weeks.
Any indication what this means?
What does it take to fix the problem?
