hook up battery charger

Where is it located inside the van?
When I plug the van in to hookup the charger doesn't appear to be working
the charging symbol up on the control panel doesn't illuminate
I would like to check it out and repair

Hi jasonk,
we also had a problem with the original charger, the power supply blew up (that stinks like hell).
The charger is located in the side wall behind the rear bench (drivers side) zou will find a little steel plate, just take off the 4 screws and zoo will find the charger.
I bought the original Westfalia part, it is very expensive (app. 250 EUR). There are much better chargers availeble but it needs some elektrical know how to replace the unit with another type. If you need the original part no. let me know may be I can find the invoice.

Our van has solar panels charging the leisure battery. Would these panels require the mains to be disconnected?
