Hello all,

At the Wittmund meeting I was asked about our outside shower. It is not the expensive official Westfalia model but just a generic shower head like http://www.ebay.de/itm/Kunststoff-Stell ... 1171382933?, a section of hose, and the special connector. Many years ago I was given one of these connectors by a fellow "Westy" owner named Ernie in the US.

The connector needed is made by Colder Products Company in the USA: http://www.colder.com/ , part number PLC17006. This female part locks to the male connector next to the rear closet door. It has a 3/8" (9,5mm) hose barb for attaching a standard shower hose with a suitable hose clamp. (Note there are two versions of this connector called "valved" and "non-valved." My understanding is that the valved version prevents any leakage when disconnecting. The PLC17006 is the non-valved version so that you can disconnect, press the trigger on the shower, and blow out the line so that it does not freeze or develop mold.)

It is possible to obtain these "magic connectors" here in Berlin for just EUR 3,05 -- but there is a minimum order quantity of 25. The purpose of this post is to gauge interest for a "group buy." I would purchase the 25 and mail them at my cost to you. I estimate about EUR 6 total, including postage.

Is that offer for the showerhead or, what I understand from the post, the special connector which plugs onto the factoryinstalled outletpoint of the camper.
If my understanding is right, it leads to the question, if we are talking about the same system on the older and newer Cookies.

Mein Cook hat die aussendusche noch nicht aber ich meinte auf dem Treffen bei anderen gesehen zu haben, dass es Standard Schnellkupplungen aus dem Druckluftbereich sind, oder?

To clarify, this is not for the shower head but for the Colder PLC17006 connector, which looks like this:
If you have a rocker switch in the rear compartment of your camper with a small plastic fitting, like this:
Then you can use the PLC17006 to build an outside shower.

ja da hast Du Recht, bei unserem T1 N ist es eine Druckluftkupplung.
Bei den neuen Modellen sieht das allerdings anders aus. (Wäre wohl zu einfach gewesen...)
