12 power socket.

Beitrag von Fanny » 16.08.2015 09:47

There is a 12v plug on the dash of the Sprinter. It is always 'Hot', meaning whether the key is engaged or not, I can charge my phone.

Anyone know if this plug is connected to the house batteries OR to the engine battery?

I'd hate to abuse this power and find myself unable to start!

Thanks
Chris

I' m sure it works from the engine
Battery, but don't worry, you can charge many phones an iPads for a long time ( weeks or month) before it drains the battery in a way that you can't start your James Cook.

Hi,
it is easy to find out. Turn off the main power switch in the compartment underneath the kitchen counter. If there is still juice on the outlet it is powered from the engine battery.

Sorry for the delayed response. Just returned from Magadan, RUS..long drive with no internet in deep Siberia.

Thanks for the replies and the great suggestions. Perfect.
