Eberspacher temperature control

Beitrag von Adrianlle » 28.05.2016 11:12

Good Morning. I have a problem with the heating on my year 2000 JC. Changing the temperature setting on the central control panel makes no difference. The heater just works at full heat and doesn't respond to changing the temperature on the panel. I have had the eberspracher serviced by a eberspracher dealer ( at great cost) but do not have much confidence in them as they are not familiar with Westfalias. The dealer claims that when bench testing it responds to changing the temperature ( but that would not be using the central control panel or sensor in the JC). I have replaced the sensor by the sliding door. It seems unlikely that it is the central control panel as all the buttons work as they should. Can anyone help?

I had a problem with my heater as well. It was serviced and checked in a Eberspaecher workshop. There it was ok. Back in my cook I still had problems as before.
Finally we found out that the control unit was faulty. It is different from the normal control unit as it is specially programmed for the westfalia central unit.
So it might be ok in the work shop on the test bench but still no ok inside the cook.
