7 day timer for engine eberspacher

Good Morning. The engine eberspacher on my 2004 JC has now been fixed and it is good to have on cold mornings. However I now wish to use it as an engine preheater without starting the engine. There is a good modification on the sprinter source website in the US. However my local MB dealer in UK is struggling to find a part number for the 7 day controller that fits on the dashboard. Can anyone give me the part number for that controller and it's rear connector please? Better still, has anyone done that modification on their Cook? Thanks. Adrian

Elegant, thanks for this. Can you confirm whether this is compatible with a 2004 JC with an eberspacher D5WZ in the engine compartment. What I want to achieve is to switch on the D5WZ and fan and water pump without switching on the ignition. Therfore the engine will be warm and preheated without first starting the engine. Have you done this? Adrian

Thank you for these links. I have decided to try wiring an on / off simple switch and relays so that I can switch on the D5WZ eberspacher and fan and water pump before breakfast and then have a warm engine when I start the journey after breakfast. There is a useful wiring diagram on the US Sprinter site and I can use a sprinter rear blower switch in the dashboard for the switch, which I can get from the dealer. I will post again when I have done the work! In this cold weather it is good to have got the engine second eberspacher working again though. Adrian
