looks great - thanks a lot for sharing the pictures.
How did you find the position for the hole? From the inside the bolt is very close to the locking mechanism - is this necessary or could it be mounted some mm higher?
From the pictures I thought the Norelem-part was made in nylon resin - the data sheet says Sinterstål. Is that really steel?
Is it possible to purchase this part in swedish stores? Shipping to Tyskland is quite expensive - and Sverige will be our destination for summer holiday.

Thank you! The handle is made in Sinter steel. I'm tempted to spray it with the same MB colour as the van to make it a little nicer to hold and better blend in.

There are some areas on the inside with double layers of steel. The place I chose was the one closest to the door frame without double steel layers.
It appears closer to the locking mechanism than it actually is - the gap is > 10 mm. If you mount it higher it must be mounted further from the door frame.

I don't know if the handle is sold in any stores - I purchased it directly from the swedish distributor, hence the high shipping cost (the handle itself cost less than 5€). But Norelem are also represented in Germany - see www.norelem.de

The part I used was 04362-212. Bolt was M12x45 (50 would probably be a better choice).

Hallo in die Runde!

Ich habe da etwas im Netz aufgetan, dass mir ganz gut gefällt, aber auch Bedenken auslöst.

Zum einen würde ich die Schlösser nur nach innen ausrichten, um die Außenhaut zu schützen. Zum anderen kann ich nicht einschätzen, wie das Metall darunter leidet.

Das ist ja wie aus dem Baumarkt - was für eine elende und nicht rückbaubare Arbeit für nichts und wiedernichts. So einen Schließzylinder macht jeder gute Autoknacker in einer Minute auf:

Und nur von außen schließen nützt ihm nachts auf der südfranzösischen Autobahnraststätte rein gar nichts

Das erscheint mir jetzt mal wirklich einfach, nachhaltig und rückrüstbar. Cool.

Ich sichere die Schiebetür bei Bedarf mit einer Kette + Vorhängeschloss - das geht auch von draußen:
Nach dem Verriegeln der Fronttüren (HeoSafe) und des Ausstellfensters (Stange) verlasse ich das Auto durch die Schiebetür und verschließe die Kette durch den schmalen Spalt - nicht hübsch, aber robust und preiswert. Ich halte die Gefahr eines Aufbruchs beim verlassenen Fahrzeug für größer als wenn einer drin ist.

Solange die vorderen Türen nicht durch abschließbare Zusatzschlösser gesichert sind, ist ein Einbrecher dadurch in weniger als einer Minute geräuschlos im Auto - ist schon auf bewachten Campingplätzen passiert...

Die Heo's vorne machen wir schon lang nicht mehr zu seit mir einmal der Türgriff der Schiebetür über den Mitnehmer von der Schlossmechanik gerutscht ist..........

Zu den Ausführungen der Heosafe Türverriegelung frage ich mich gerade ,
gibt es einen Unterschied in der Bauart beim T1N 1995 - 2000 und 2000 - 2006 oder sind die
auch nach der Modellpflege gleich geblieben

Eine gute Frage, die Antwort weiß ich nicht. Ich tippe drauf das es die dieselben sind. Ich bin froh diese zu haben und benutze sie auch. Hatte damals lange gebraucht für die hohe Investition, aber sie sind einfach genial. Leider gibt es sie ,,Neu'' nicht mehr zu kaufen. Gruß Jürgen
