a couple of more questions.

while on only 12v battery power, the two halogen lights under the kitchen counter turn On!
but the switch next to it, doesn't seem to do anything while on 12v. I think it should switch on the lights by the bathroom door. but they don't.

is that correct? they should switch on?

I tried to remove the bulb to test it but could not figure it out.

otherwise, could that bulb be replaced by a lower power LED version?

and finally, I wanted to look at the wiring of the AC outlet. But I could not get it down out of the ceiling either. should it come down easily?

The right-hand switch under the kitchen wall unit is for two lights above the roof side windows. Because they have their own switch, it may be that nothing happens at first. Switch on first both top lights individually and then test the main switch for the top.

die Lampen über der Badezimmertüre werden von einem Schalter bedient, der, wenn man von innen schaut, oben rechts im Schiebetürrahmen sitzt. Der Schalter ist dreistufig, ..aus, Dauerlicht, und Licht nur, wenn man die Türe öffnet. Wir haben in unserem James Cook unter dem Küchenhochschrank noch einen dritten Schalter, ich weiß aber derzeit nicht genau, ob man von dort auch noch die Lampen über der Badezimmertüre schalten kann. Ich werde mal nachsehen.

Arndt war schneller als ich.
Die 12 Volt Halogenlampen lassen sich 1:1 gegen LED Leuchten mit Sockel G4 austauschen.

Petite question au passage.
Je trouve les interrupteur mal placé a cet endroit. Y a t'il une raison particulière ou précise pour qu'ils aient été mis là? Car je les aurais bien mis ailleurs.
