Shipping James Cook to Canada

Beitrag von lunatic » 24.05.2023 05:46

We have just purchased a 2008 James Cook in Germany. Before we left Canada in March, we had a "reliable" logistics company who would handle the shipment of the vehicle from Europe to Canada (either Toronto or Halifax).

We have just learned that they have completely let us down and now we have to scramble for a shipping company to get our camper on a vessel and on it's way to Canada. Ideal shipping timeline would be early to mid-July. We can drop off the vehicle at the port and pay storage until shipping.

Due to Schengen regulations for non-European residents, we have to leave mainland Europe by June 30th at the latest.

If anyone has any ideas or contacts who may help us, I would really appreciate it. My direct email address is: ianevans@sentex.net

Thanks very much,

Ian

Hi Lunatic,

some members seem to have experience with https://www.seabridge-tours.de/ an alternative may be https://www.overlander-shipping.com/. I never did it, so no personal experience, but providers seem to be professional.

Good Luck!

And just to add, there are a lot of threads around shipping in this forum. Please review https://forum.james-cook-freunde.de/viewforum.php?f=25

I have now secured shipping to Canada with a company called Caravan Shippers. Here is their website: https://www.caravan-shippers.com/en/

They were extremely helpful, reasonable pricing and managed to secure shipping on the day we requested.

Our James Cook is not on the ship yet..................... but so far they seem very good.
