Threading wires from garage to batteries

Beitrag von lunatic » 12.07.2024 20:23

My plan is to thread the inverter and solar controller cables from the garage to the batteries. We removed the panel under the bathroom sink, grey plastic panel in side of garage and the rail below the bathroom window. Images attached.

We managed to get a string threaded along the top of the water fill pipe and tied it off both ends (images). There is a lot of room above the water fill pipe behind the bathroom panels.

PROBLEM. See the image in the garage. The gap between the water fill pipe and the side of the wardrobe is very small and will be difficult to get cables through. Has anyone drilled a hole in the side of the wardrobe and pushed cables through, or is there a better way?

See the image of the bathroom window. I removed the grey rail as I thought I could access the water pipe behind there, but there is still no access.

Can anyone give me some help as to how to feed the thick inverter cables from the batteries the the garage? I would really appreciate it!

Thank you,

Ian

Hallo

das Durchführen der Kabel war kein Problem. Erst das Wellrohr durchschieben. Zwei Mal. Dann Kabel mit 35 mm2 Querschnitt.

Extra Absicherung mit 150 Amp Sicherung direkt an der Batterie

Gruß Elise

Thanks for the ideas! What I did as well was drill a 1 1/2" circular hole in the bulkhead just to the right of the water pipe. Now it is easy to get the cables through and also the new hole is covered by the grey plastic bulkhead piece.

I am going to thread the tubes and cables in the next couple of days. Will give you an update if any issues.

Ian
