The 2007 James Cook we are buying needs a replacement strut for the lower bed as the bed will not stay up.
Does anyone know where and from which company in Germany I can buy a replacement lower bed gas strut?

You could order the strut at Mercedes, but as they won´t be the original manufacturer I would try to order elsewhere as this will be cheaper.
However, you should have a closer look to the existing thread as it seems to be a tricky venture.

It is extremly expensive buying it from MB (like 600€) - I got mine from Manfred Ermel - The manufacturer sells them as well, but I never got a reply from them.
