I want to remove or modify the MB bluetooth adaptor on the dash behind the steering wheel. See images.

Does anyone know how to remove the whole unit from the dashboard?

My goal is to have nothing there or replace it with a smart phone holder.

Amy ideas would be appreciated!

It is simply mounted with 2 or 3 screws. If you remove it there will be a big hole in the dashboard. I mounted a smartphone holder on top of the base plate of this one. Can make a photo these days...

Simply look at it, you can't miss the screws. I think they are torx.

OK. My challenge is that the JC is in Belgium at the port and I am at home in Canada................. I will look as soon as it arrives and thanks a lot!

Here is my simple solution but surely not the most beautiful one. I have cut the original holder and screwed a simple holder on top of it (Like this https://amzn.to/3rmjlly ). The holder is one of these to be mounted in the air outlets but I removed the back part and there was even a thread for a screw.

Thanks for the image and Amazon link, very clear. I will do something similar once our James Cook gets here as it is the perfect place for a smart phone.
