Hi, I have tried to find any thread on the forum outlining how to replace the standard charger with a Votronic Triple. There are some posts that explain parts of the job but I cannot find any post that also have pictures of the connections that needs to be cut or changed under the driver seat.

Does anyone have a complete write-up (with pictures) and step by step on of how to convert to the Votrinic?

Ich glaube bisher hat das keiner umgesetzt. Viele haben einen Booster unter
dem Fahersitz installiert weil da die Anschlüsse schon liegen. Es wird das Trennrelais ersetzt.

Wo soll das Votronic Triple denn installiiert werde? Es sind dann sicher einige neue dicke Kabel nötig.

Einfacher ist die Komponenten einzeln zu installieren.

das haben einige Leute bereits umgesetzt. Unter anderem habe ich es gemacht vor 2-3 Jahren wie ich auf LiFeYPo4 umgestellt habe.
Hatte aber vorher bereits Original Ladegerät getauscht und Booster installiert. Ich habe es aber nicht in dem Maß dokumentiert.
Hab den Tripple an die Position des Original Ladegerätes gebaut und weitestgehend die Originalkabel genutzt.

Sorry ich hatte nicht richtig hingesehen. Das Votronic Triple hat keinen 12/220 V Wandler.

Wir haben das normale Votronic Ladegerät an die Stelle des alten montiert mit einer zusätzlichen
Aluplatte.

Zur Elektro installation: Du kannst das Trennrelais unter dem Fahrersitz belassen. An der Batterie musst du das
rote Ladekabel, was vom Trennrelais kommt An das Votronic anschließen. Du brauchst ein neues Kabel vom Votronic
Booster/Ladeausgang zur Batterie da das orginale Ladekabel (vom Ladegerät zur Batterie) zu dünn ist. am besten 25 mm2.

Der Anschluss des Solarpanels ist ja kein Problem.

Do I understand you correcctly that I do not have to do anything with the relay under the driver seat other than connect the thick red cable from the relay to the Votronic and a new 25mm2 cable from the Votronic to the battery?

Where do I pick up the D+ signal from the alternator that I need, in order to tell the Votronic that the engine is running?

das D+ Signal kann man am Trennrelais abgreifen. das muss noch zum Votronic gelegt werden.

Hope you have time for some more questions.
In the pictures below

"At the relay.jpg"
I connect 1 and 2 together at 6
I can pick the D+ signal from 3? Which cable?
What does 4 do? Connect together with 1 and 2 at 6?

7 is the same cable as 2 and I connect this to the Votronic Starter battery 12V+?
What does 8 do?. It is thinner than 7.

The 5 red cables (3 thick and 2 thin) at the battery, #4 is the same as 1 in the other picture but what do 2, 3, 5 and 6 connect to?
