Bathroom faucet replacement

Hi,
My Kitchen faucet started to leak internally and I am looking at replacements from Comet since the faucet has been in place for 17 hears and counting now. While I am replacing the kitchen faucet, I am also looking at the faucet in the bathroom (with a shower hose and shower head). The kitchen faucet has a large nut holding it in place to the counter top and after some fighting it is out of the van, but for the bathroom it looks like the faucet is only secured using sealant or grey Sikaflex. Is this correct or am I missing something?
Thanks!
