Panel removal under dining window

I need to remove the panel below the dining window (see image). The whole panel below the red line with the 2 red arrows. I know how to remove the upper panel above red line but not the lower one.

Has anyone done this, and if so what is the best way to approach the job?

Thank you!

Hey! Would you tell me how to remove the upper part? In kind, I would tell you how I manage the lower one.
I believe you cannot remove the lower without removing the upper. Since I have to take it all out, I will be able to confirm this hypothesis.

Best regards, Berry

Hi Berry,

Re top section.

1. Remove the strip where my red line is. A few screws.
2. Remove light fittings and electrical socket from top of upper panel.
3. Feel behind upper panel for where the green plastic clips are attached. From memory, 1 or 2 at bottom and same at top.
4. Rest of panel is attached with velcro.
5. Carefully remove wires from back of small speaker
6. Pull panel very carefully off the plastic legs and velcro.

That should be it. Image attached is what the upper looks like without the panel and also blinds removed for fixing.

I look forward to hearing back as to how you remove the bottom panel.

Regards, Ian

Hey Ian,

I started taking out the panels today! As I suspected it‘s not possible to take out the lower panel without removing the upper first - at least without breaking anything.

As you can see from the images attached there are two spots circled in red you would not be able to reach.

It’s a right pain to get the lower panel out even beyond having to remove the upper one. I‘ll take some pictures in the light when I get the chance.

Best regards
Berry

Hi Berry,

Can you please send me a few photos from behind the lower panel? I am particularly interested in how the water pipes are located and the pipe connections.

If easier, you can email them to me directly at: ianevans@sentex.net

Thank you,

Ian

Hey Ian,

Find attached a few photos of the dinner table areas without panels. I have marked the mounting points in red and yellow. Hope this helps!

Best regards
Max

Hi Max

Can you tell me if it is possible to access the bottom of the window or is the aluminum panel with mounting points for table and gray panel in the way?

Could that one be removed or is it part of the structure?

(We also have a james cook and cracked windows and would need to access the bottom of the black plastic window frame to fix it

Best,

Ursa

Hey Ursa,

it‘s possible to access the window frame, see attached image! The frame for the shades is easily removable.
