Problem with alternator?
Problem with alternator?
I have a question. When I have the engine running and the alternator is working, the switchboard sets Max 13.2 volts. This is normal? If I put a polymeter in the alternator It sets 14 v. I'm sorry I didn't write German

Re: Problem with alternator?
Hello,
no it isn’t normal it should have more than 14 V.
The problem is the cable from the alternator to the starter and the battery. Thi is worn at the starter.
Basically an doable task to change it by yourself if you’re a bit hands-on.
There is a thread about that topic

You‘ll find pictures from the cable in there.

Re: Problem with alternator?
Thanks a lot. It seems obvious that is the problem. When I change it I'll put the results here.
Re: Problem with alternator?
I've changed the cable. Now I have 14.2 volts. The cable is changed in 30-45 minutes. Thank you so much for the help.
