The setting „AT 40/50“ or „AT 40/55“, i'm not shure, is the only mode where all three power levels are available

This is to thank everyone (and especially Thomas T.) for their encouragement and help with installing the Webasto airtop 40 and multiconroller. Everything now working well and very easy to use. Much work though but well worth the effort. I attach a photo of the controller. The new temperature sensor is the black circle in the grey kitchen block. Adrian

I'm not so brave as you. I let my JC to a dealer Eberspacher to mount a new airtronic D2.
I hope 2kW will be enough; you have 4kW...
I choice Eberspacher in place of Webasto because all technical information are "open" by Eberspacher.
Do you know this office https://www.butlertechnik.com/ It seems they are very competent with websato and Eberspacher.

Thanks Vincent. I had thought of an Eberspacher D2 or a D4 but went for the Webastobwcause the installation had been well written up on this forum. There were times though in the installation when I felt more foolhardy than brave! But satisfying to have managed it and it also gave me useful insights into how the Cook is put together. You mention Butlertechnik- it was from them that I bought my heater. Their customer service was good but nowhere near as helpful as was Thomas T on this forum! Adrian.

A question for you Adrianlle just because I'm curious: do you have a continental steering wheel (on the left side) or a British one (right side)?

I have a Continental sterling wheel. As far as I know, no Cooks were made with right-hand drive. It’s not really an issue driving in the UK but I have made a few modifications to help. The first is that I have a rear-pointing side camera fitted under the passenger wing mirror. That is wired via a video splitting switch on the dashboard so that I can choose instantly between the rear-facing camera under the rear high lamp for a normal rear view or a side view of what is alongside me. It is a good help when overtaking on motorways. I also have another forward facing camera that I can switch on so that if for example, I am behind a tractor then I can have the same view around it as if I had a passenger! All these use the flip out screen on my pioneer stereo so no clutter.

The other modification is that I have fitted a radar blind spot system that I got when in the USA. It flashes a warning at me if there is something in my blind spot and if I signal to move out then it will also beep at me to warn me that my offside is not clear. Again. Help on motorways when overtaking especially when dark and wet.
All these systems have independent on/off switches that use MB switches I have wired in.
So a long answer to a simple question. Of course, the Cook is even better when heading for Bavaria etc!
