removing this Kuhlbox Controller

Beitrag von pjstock » 30.05.2025 22:48

Update on my kuhlbox.
a retired refrigeration engineer (who conveniently lives in my neighbourhood) concludes that the compressor is probably okay but that the controller module is bad the the compressor is not getting the signal to "Run"
(he says that if it was the compressor itself it would run but not work - which I don't understand but I defer to his experience)

next task. removing it the controller.

does anyone know how to remove it without removing the controller?

it appears to have 3 holes in the back which must mesh up with 3 prongs on the compressor itself
but it is really snugly fit together.

did you pry them apart?

I once again do not want to force anything.....

Hello,

The brown cable should probably been connected to de minus. ( - ) . The bleu cable is connected on the plus ( + )

Regards,

Gerd

#1 photo is mine with the cables disconnected (,in anticipation of removal)

I haven't been able to remove mine yet. It's very stiffly connected.

#2 photo is a different part, from eBay, of a replacement part, showing its back - which appears to have those three holes

I am only guessing that mine had the same three holes on the back.and that I just have to pry it harder

Hahah . I see it now.
There is a bolt holding the controller to the compressor
