Hallo,
Ich bekomme gerade folgende Anfrage von einem amerikanischen James Cook Freund.
Peter, my skylight remote isn't working and a new Dometic remote costs $250 here. I rather have a switch to open and close the skylight installed instead. Do you have instructions or diagrams on how to do it? I know someone has done it.. Best regards,
Ich selbst hab so ein Fenster nie gehabt. Könnt ihr da weiterhelfen?
Gruß
Peter

Re: Schaltplan für großes Heki gesucht
Hi Peter,
This subject had came up many times on the Yahoo Airstream Westfalia forum. I am very sure the company never publish a schematic. Even if it did, there is not much use for converting the controls from the IR remote to manual switches. All that are done with proprietory designed micro-controller and code. The only way to cleanly make this conversion will require a lot of electronic knowhow to build something to impersonate the IR remote.
There are a few owner take matter into their own hands and make the conversion by wring in a switch to directly control of (CW, off, and CCW) the actuating motor. I believe there are some posts there that give some instruction on how to make this alteration. This conversion however will forego the end-limit switches that are designed to tell the micro-controller to stop the motor so not to cause damage to the skylight when it is fully closed or open. The draw back of this approach is the user have to not over-crank the skylight.
