Hi all,
I have just bought our first JC...a 1997 312d...its amazing (if a little rusty)
the main problem i want to fix, is the sliding door window. It has swollen / expanded and is now very badly scratched inside, from the blind being pulled down.
does anyone know where i can buy a replacement window?
Also any tips for removing finer scratches from the outside of the windows?
Thanks

Re: Damaged window
Hi,
I assume that the window is plexiglas. (Bonaplex). In this case contact Manfred Ermel a Westfalia-dealer in D48336 Sassenberg ( phone 02583 5280042).
If the window is real glas (thermopane) there is no replacement available any more !!!!!!
Another solution is replacing the window with an original MB sprinter glas.
good luck
Wolfgang

Re: Damaged window
Hi hooja, our 95 sounds to have the very same issue. I have used "Fenwicks Acrylic Window Scratch Remover" on it. It states it is just for fine scratches and has worked a treat for these and I think improved the small scratches within the deeper grooves to some extent - we can now see through the window so a great improvement on the vertical haze. It has improved the appearance from the outside too. It is far from perfect and I should now do the slightly deeper scratches but as we still have to use the blind which would undo this in seconds, I am happy with the improved look, for relatively low effort and cost. I think it was around £5.
Hope this helps.
